Although the cities of Vienna and Linz serve approximately 145,000 trees, many people do not have a relationship with nature in an urban environment. Woody is an app which creates a playful way an awareness of the trees. The aim of the app is to provide the small wooden worm called Woody with wood. The remarkable thing is that you physically have to be in front of a real tree in order to procure food in different ways: Tree cut down and secure supply of wood or maybe Woody settle for a harmless snack on the tree?Together with a map and "Baumpedia" is this app an educationally valuable and very entertaining game for all ages.This project was developed by the Vienna University of Technology as part of a course organized by the research group INSO (http://www.inso.tuwien.ac.at).Woody has been awarded several times.
